Ariz. House OKs Bill To Expand R&D Tax Credit

Law360, New York (March 7, 2014, 1:18 PM EST) -- The Arizona House on Thursday passed a bill that would increase the annual cap on the state's research and development tax credit from $5 million to $15 million, setting up a potential showdown with Gov. Jan Brewer, who nixed an identical proposal last year.

House members voted 37-20 in support of the proposed increase, which will now be sent to the Senate. The proposal, which has the backing of Arizona's technology sector, would increase the cap on the state's R&D credit to $10 million next year,...
