Slovakian Online Directory Scammers Hit With $9M Judgment

Law360, New York (March 7, 2014, 2:04 PM EST) -- A Slovakia-based company accused of ripping off small businesses through an online directory scam was hit with a $9 million judgment, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission said Friday.

An Illinois federal judge last month also banned Wolfgang Valvoda, Susanne Anhorn, and Construct Data Publishers, also doing business as Fair Guide, from the online directory business.
