Energy Co. CEO Guilty Of Investment Fraud, Jury Finds

Law360, Los Angeles (March 7, 2014, 9:54 PM EST) -- A Minnesota federal jury on Wednesday found an alternative energy company's CEO guilty on criminal counts including mail and wire fraud after federal authorities accused him of lying to investors in a fraud scheme that cost them between $2.5 million and $7 million.

The jury deliberated for two days following closing arguments Monday, finding Bixby Energy Systems founder Robert Allen Walker guilty on all 17 counts that he faced in the government's last indictment, which also alleged witness tampering and tax evasion.
