2nd Circuit Chucks Suit Against Magazine Distributors

Law360, New York (March 31, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An appeals judge has shot down an antitrust suit brought by defunct magazine distributor United Magazine Co. against several wholesalers and rivals, upholding a lower court's decision that the company failed to show that it had been harmed by price discrimination.

Ohio-based Unimag filed the suit in 2000 against several magazine distributors, including Curtis Circulation Company, Time Distribution Services Inc., Warner Publishing Services Inc., Kable News Company Inc., Hearst Distribution Group Inc., Murdoch Magazines Distribution Inc. and TV Guide Distribution Inc.
