4th Circ. To Hear Va. Gay Marriage Ban Case In May

Law360, Los Angeles (March 10, 2014, 7:30 PM EDT) -- The Fourth Circuit on Monday expedited a case challenging the constitutionality of Virginia's ban on gay marriage, tentatively setting oral arguments for mid-May.

Granting a motion to accelerate case processing, the Fourth Circuit said that between May 12 and May 15 it will hear appeals by pair of court clerks who are challenging a Virginia federal judge's February ruling that the state's same-sex marriage ban is unconstitutional.
