EPA Says Zep Illegally Distributed Pesticides

Law360, New York (March 13, 2014, 4:09 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on Wednesday hit pesticide maker Zep Inc. with an administrative complaint accusing the company of violating the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act by allegedly selling and distributing an unregistered and misbranded pesticide.

Atlanta-based Zep allegedly manufactured and distributed its Formula 165 antimicrobial pesticide as a supplemental distributor without permission from the registrant.
