Jury Awards Siemens $3.7M In Trade Secrets Case

Law360, New York (April 1, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Louisiana jury has ordered Omni Energy Services to pay $3.7 million for improperly using trade secrets belonging to Siemens Water Technology Corp. and engaging in unfair competition, Omni revealed Monday.

According to Omni, the jury handed down a verdict last week, finding that Omni's subsidiary, Preheat Inc., engaged in unfair trade practices and unfair competition involving Siemens as a result of the improper use of trade secret information owned by Siemens.
