Herbert Smith Aims For 30% Female Partnership By 2019

Law360, Los Angeles (March 13, 2014, 5:50 PM EDT) -- London law firm Herbert Smith Freehills LLP is pledging to improve its gender balance and have women hold nearly a third of its partner positions within the next five years, the firm said Thursday.

Herbert Smith says it wants to widen the talent pool from which partners at the firm are promoted and wants to increase its female partnership in stages. It hopes that women will comprise 25 percent of the firm’s partnership by May 2017 and hit 30 percent by May 2019.
