EIB Floats $160M For Italy Waste Mgmt., Hydropower Updates

Law360, New York (March 13, 2014, 4:30 PM EDT) -- Italian utility company A2A SpA said Thursday it has signed an agreement with the European Investment Bank for a 15-year, €115 million ($160 million) loan to fund waste management and hydropower upgrades throughout Italy.

The EIB financing package provides A2A, an energy production and waste collection utility, with financing for upgrades needed to increase Italy’s power generation from renewable sources, the investment bank and utility said.
