FERC Greenlights Dominion Cove Point LNG Export Facility

Law360, New York (May 15, 2014, 8:36 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission released an environmental assessment on Thursday approving Dominion’s proposed $3.8 billion Cove Point liquefied natural gas export facility in southern Maryland, finding the project can be built without significant environmental impact. 

The 241-page environmental assessment of the Cove Point Liquefaction Project, completed in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act, examined the potential environmental effects from the construction and operation of the project, with FERC finding that the project can be completed safely with appropriate mitigating measures.
