Costco Loses Rehearing Bid In Liquor Antitrust Case

Law360, New York (April 1, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a blow to Costco Wholesale Corp., an appeals court has shot down a request by the company to reconsider a decision that found most of Washington state’s pricing and distribution regulations for beer and wine did not violate federal antitrust laws.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit said Tuesday that it had unanimously voted to deny Costco’s petition for rehearing and rehearing en banc.
