Toshiba Sues SK Hynix For Alleged Trade Secrets Theft

Law360, New York (March 14, 2014, 1:20 PM EDT) -- Toshiba Corp. sued semiconductor company SK Hynix Inc. in Japan for allegedly stealing trade secrets related to its flash memory technology, the company announced late Thursday, echoing similar allegations made by SanDisk Corp. this week.

SK Hynix is in possession of trade secrets related to its NAND flash memory technology, Toshiba claimed in a statement. The company said it has filed a civil suit against SK Hynix in Tokyo District Court over violations of Japan’s Unfair Competition Prevention Act.
