Herbalife Delays Annual Meeting To Continue Icahn Talks

Law360, New York (March 14, 2014, 2:07 PM EDT) -- Herbalife Ltd. on Thursday postponed its annual shareholders' meeting by five days, to April 29, so the company could continue discussions with billionaire activist investor Carl Icahn about the potential addition of even more Icahn-nominated board members.

According to Herbalife's announcement on the rescheduling of the shareholders' meeting, the nutrition and weight-loss company is in discussions with Icahn — who owns a 16.8 percent stake in Herbalife and won two board seats in February 2013 — to add more Icahn-nominated members to its board.
