Sonda Expands Brazilian Presence With $170M CTIS Buy

Law360, New York (March 14, 2014, 3:26 PM EDT) -- Chilean information technology company Sonda SA announced Thursday that it has acquired Brazil-based technology service provider CTIS Tecnologia SA for about $170 million, a buy that Sonda says greatly expands its reach into Latin America's most populous nation.

The final acquisition price for the deal — which is subject to review by Brazil's antitrust regulator, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense, or CADE — could increase by $36 million depending on CTIS' performance through 2018, Sonda said.
