GE Escapes Former La. Shipyard Worker's Asbestos Suit

Law360, New York (March 17, 2014, 7:38 PM EDT) -- A Louisiana federal court on Friday freed General Electric Co. from an asbestos injury suit that accused the technology giant of supplying turbines to a shipyard where a Louisiana woman worked for years before succumbing to the asbestos-related cancer mesothelioma.
