Law360, New York (March 18, 2014, 8:11 PM EDT) -- St. Jude Medical Inc. fended off another patent infringement suit from rival medical device maker Volcano Corp. as a Delaware federal judge issued a final judgment Monday that St. Jude did not infringe two of Volcano’s patents for guide wires that measure pressure within blood vessels.
U.S. District Judge Richard G. Andrews dismissed Volcano’s claims, finding St. Jude did not infringe its patents. The order follows a claim construction ruling in January in favor of St. Jude's definition of a claim term.
