DuPont Sues To Protect Printing-Plate Patent

Law360, New York (April 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co. fired off a suit Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, accusing Cortron Corporation of directly infringing its patent for flexographic printing plates.

The suit alleges that Cortron, a prepress equipment and software manufacturer, supplied equipment to thermally treat, process or develop flexographic printing plates without license from Dupont.

DuPont is the owner of all rights, title and interest in U.S. Patent Number 6,797,454 B1, entitled “Method and apparatus for thermal processing a photosensitive element.”...
