IRS Asks Congress For Help Regulating Tax Return Preparers

Law360, New York (March 19, 2014, 1:55 PM EDT) -- The Internal Revenue Service is urging Congress to pass legislation that would give the agency new power to regulate independent tax return preparers after a federal appeals court ruled last month that the regulator is unable to do so on its own.
