Software Providers Battle Over Remote PC Patents

Law360 (February 2, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- A leading remote access solutions provider, Communique Laboratory Inc., has filed a patent infringement suit against enterprise software company Citrix Systems Inc. over a system for providing remote access between personal computers on the Internet.

The Ontario-based Communique, which provides software solutions for “anytime anywhere access” to information stored on a desktop PC, alleged in its suit that Citrix GoToMyPC, a remote access solution that enables users to access email, files, programs and network resources over the Internet, violates a Communique-held patent.
