China Launches Dumping Probe Of US, Japanese Optical Fiber

Law360, Los Angeles (March 19, 2014, 6:29 PM EDT) -- China's Ministry of Commerce said Wednesday that it has initiated an anti-dumping investigation into optical fiber preform products imported from the U.S. and Japan.

The ministry launched the probe in response to an application by several domestic optical fiber preform manufacturers. It will investigate whether U.S. and Japanese producers of optical fiber preforms have engaged in dumping practices, the extent of those practices and whether the domestic industry has been damaged as a result.
