St. Luke’s Calls $8M Atty Fees Bid In Antitrust Case 'Shocking'

Law360, New York (March 19, 2014, 7:18 PM EDT) -- St. Luke's Health System Ltd. on Wednesday labelled "shocking" a request by rival Saint Alphonsus Medical Center-Nampa Inc. for nearly $8.2 million in attorney fees after its successful efforts to block St. Luke's from acquiring a major physician practice group.

Saint Alphonsus' fee request on Friday made up the bulk of the nearly $10 million plaintiffs have sought from St. Luke's after convincing an Idaho federal judge that St. Luke's purchase of Saltzer Medical Group PA was anti-competitive.
