Walgreen Pharmacy Model Breaks Fla. Law, Union Group Says

Law360, Los Angeles (March 20, 2014, 7:39 PM EDT) -- Organized labor group Change to Win claims some Florida Walgreen Co. pharmacies violate state law by preventing pharmacists from continually monitoring technicians, according to a complaint filed Wednesday with the Florida Department of Health.

Walgreen's “Well Experience” program moves pharmacists out in front of the pharmacy counter in an effort to make the pharmacists more accessible to patients. But Change to Win alleges that by allowing pharmacists to sit at a desk on the store floor, they cannot properly supervise pharmacy technicians’ work as required....
