Fla. High Court Sets Standards For Access To E-Records

Law360, Miami (March 20, 2014, 8:36 PM EDT) -- The Florida Supreme Court on Wednesday established standards for access to electronic records that will allow trial courts around the state to begin making court filings readily accessible online while also protecting confidential information.

The state's highest court issued guidelines for access to electronic records modeled after a successful pilot program in Manatee County and outlined a statewide program through which court clerks will be able to send in their electronic records access systems for approval.
