Wis. Latest State To Pass Anti-'Patent Troll' Bill

Law360, New York (March 21, 2014, 4:25 PM EDT) -- Wisconsin on Thursday joined the growing ranks of states that have passed legislation that places restrictions on patent-licensing demand letters in an effort to crack down on so-called "patent trolls."

The Wisconsin State Assembly passed Senate Bill 498 on Thursday, sending the measure to the desk of Gov. Scott Walker. The bill passed the Wisconsin Senate earlier this month.
