Japan Banks Plan To Sink Millions Into CVC Asia Fund

Law360, New York (March 24, 2014, 10:06 PM EDT) -- CVC Capital Partners Ltd. will raise up to $50 million apiece from Japan Bank for International Cooperation and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank for an Asia buyout fund, the former said Monday.

JBIC said in a statement that Japanese companies are increasingly open to selling themselves to private equity buyers, and that JBIC is supporting the CVC fund to build a framework to support overseas mergers and acquisitions for Japanese companies.
