High Court Won't Hear Arch's Challenge To EPA's Authority

Law360, New York (March 24, 2014, 1:25 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday rejected an Arch Coal Inc. unit’s plea that it restore a waste discharge permit for a West Virginia mountaintop mine, affirming the authority of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to yank the permit years after it was issued.
