Judge Sides With Novartis In Aredia, Zometa MDL

Law360 (April 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge in charge of multidistrict litigation over Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp.'s bone cancer drugs has dismissed the cases of three Michigan plaintiffs who had relied on a split U.S. Supreme Court decision to bolster their claims.

Siding with the drugmaker, Judge Todd Campbell, of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, ruled on Wednesday that the Supreme Court's 4-4 split in Warner-Lambert Co. v. Kent had no bearing on the suits at issue.
