Wis. Gov. Walker Signs $500M Tax Cut

Law360, New York (March 24, 2014, 4:47 PM EDT) -- Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, in the midst of an election year, signed a legislative package on Monday that includes more than $500 million in property and income tax cuts.

The legislation includes $406 million in property tax cuts and a $98.6 million cut in state income taxes.  The cuts — made possible by a projected $1 billion budget surplus — are intended to benefit residents across all tax brackets, Walker said.
