Target Missed Warning Signs Of Breach, Senate Report Says

Law360, New York (March 25, 2014, 7:47 PM EDT) -- A report released by Sen. John D. Rockefeller’s office on Tuesday said Target Corp. failed to take advantage of warning signs to stop last year’s massive data breach in which hackers stole financial and personal information from as many as 110 million customers.

The staff report, entitled “A ‘Kill Chain’ Analysis of the 2013 Target Data Breach,” examined the series of events leading up the the breach, saying Target had warnings that hackers had infiltrated its system.
