Puget Sound Energy Fined $1.25M In Records Case

Law360, New York (April 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Washington state energy regulators have fined electricity and natural gas company Puget Sound Energy $1.25 million after discovering that a contractor working for PSE falsified natural gas pipeline inspection records numerous times over a four-year period.

The fine, which is the largest ever imposed by the state on a natural gas distribution company, was the result of a settlement agreement approved Thursday by the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission.
