House Dems Seek To Force Vote On Immigration Reform

Law360, New York (March 26, 2014, 5:20 PM EDT) -- U.S. House Democrats on Wednesday launched a discharge petition in an effort to force a vote on a comprehensive immigration reform bill that Republican Speaker John Boehner has refused to bring up for a vote in the chamber.

The Democratic leadership's goal is to require a vote on HR 15, the House equivalent to a sweeping reform bill aimed at overhauling U.S. immigrations law that was passed by the Senate in June.
