Former IRS Employee Indicted Over Taxpayer ID Theft

Law360, New York (March 26, 2014, 4:31 PM EDT) -- A former Internal Revenue Service employee has been indicted for stealing taxpayer information and filing false tax returns to obtain the refunds, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Tuesday.

Taylor S. Knight, 32, of Kansas City, Mo., allegedly stole information about three taxpayers while working at a Kansas City IRS office between 2009 and 2012.
