3M Sues Korean Co. Over Reflective Trim Patent

Law360, New York (April 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A German subsidiary of 3M has filed a patent infringement suit against a Korean company that manufactures reflective material for firefighting equipment.

The suit, filed in a district court in Dusseldorf, Germany, alleges that Giolite-Lumian Co. and its Germany subsidiaries are infringing on 3M's patent for a type of reflective trim used on firefighter gear.

Named as defendants are Seoul, South Korea-based Sue Heung Ref Co., Ltd., Gio-Lite Europe GmbH and Giolite-Lumian Co.
