Motorola Buries Hatchet With Icahn In Proxy Feud

Law360, New York (April 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Motorola Inc. has brokered a deal with Carl Icahn that will lay to rest the activist investor's proxy battle against the technology giant, agreeing to install one Icahn candidate on its board and let another nominee stand for election, the company said Monday.

Under the agreement, William R. Hambrecht, founder, chairman and chief executive officer of WR Hambrecht + Co. and co-founder of Hambrecht & Quist, will be nominated for election to Motorola’s board of directors at the company's annual meeting on May 5, Motorola said....
