Zimmer Recalls Surgical Products After Inspection

Law360 (April 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Orthopedic implant maker Zimmer Holdings Inc. has recalled products manufactured at its Dover, Ohio, plant and has temporarily closed down the facility after an investigation revealed quality control issues.

The Warsaw, Ind.-based company, which last year paid almost $170 million to settle antitrust charges with the U.S. Department of Justice, said in a statement Thursday it had suspended production at the plant to “improve quality systems.”
