Class Stands Strong In AIG Unit Overtime Suit

Law360, New York (April 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has allowed the retail loan officers in an American International Group Inc. subsidiary to proceed as a class in their lawsuit contending that their employer failed to pay them overtime compensation.

Judge Norma L. Shapiro of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania shot down Wilmington Finance Inc.'s bid to decertify the class on Friday, ruling that class treatment of the plaintiffs’ claims was both “appropriate and desirable.”
