Drivers Hit Pepsi With FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (April 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Eleven truck drivers have filed a suit alleging that their companies — Pepsi Bottling Group Inc. and New Bern Transport Inc. — should pay them for time spent completing paperwork and inspections before their daily deliveries begin.

The lawsuit was filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. The plaintiffs drive large tractor-trailers that usually carry up to 80,000 pounds of soft drinks. The suit says they spend about an hour a day doing work for which they are not paid....
