China To Join Antitrust Network: U.K. Official

Law360, New York (April 14, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- China, which is preparing to implement its first anti-monopoly law, will reportedly join an international body of competition authorities within a year.

Philip Collins, chairman of the U.K.'s Office of Fair Trading, told Bloomberg News that within a year, China will join the International Competition Network, which consists of 74 antitrust agencies around the world, including Belgium, Australia and the U.S.
