Vietnam Ends Trademark Stalemate

Law360, New York (October 14, 2003, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Vietnam has decided to move trademark registration back to the National Office of Intellectual Property, under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Asia Pulse reported Tuesday.

The move marks the end of a standstill that started with the passing several months ago of Decree 54, which relieved the Ministry of Science and Technology of trademark processing and ordered it to transfer this duty to another government agency.
