Chemical May Be Linked To Health Problems: Study

Law360, New York (April 15, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Bisphenol A, a chemical found in plastic products including baby bottles, may be linked to health problems such as early puberty and some forms of cancer, according to a study released Monday by the National Toxicology Program.

The chemical, known as BPA, is also used the lining of infant formula cans and compact discs among other products. It came into the public eye this year after the House Energy and Commerce Committee questioned its use in products intended for young children.
