DR Systems Sues To Invalidate Kodak Patent

Law360, New York (April 16, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Medical technology company DR Systems Inc. took the offensive Sunday against a possible infringement lawsuit by Eastman Kodak Co., filing its own lawsuit that seeks to have the Kodak patent in question declared invalid.

In a complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, San Diego, Calif.-based DR Systems asked for a declaratory judgment that U.S. Patent Number 5,414,811, owned by Kodak, is invalid, and that DR Systems' Dominator, Vitrea, and Catapult medical imaging products do not infringe any valid claim...
