Japan FTC Raids Offices In Air Cargo Probe

Law360, New York (April 16, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Japan Fair Trade Commission has reportedly raided 12 companies and an air cargo industry group on suspicion that they have formed a cartel to fix prices and passed along air carrier fuel and securities surcharges to customers.

The companies included Nippon Express Co., Kintetsu World Express Inc., Yusen Air & Sea Service Co. and Nishi-Nippon Railroad Co., according to a report in the Kyodo News on Wednesday.
