Lexar Media Settles Patent Dispute With SimpleTech

Law360, New York (December 5, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- Digital media company Lexar Media settled its patent litigation with SimpleTech, the company said Thursday.

Lexar Media had sued SimpleTech on March 20, 2003 for patent infringement based on SimpleTech's sale of unlicensed Memory Stick products.

In the settlement reached Thursday, the parties agreed to a mutual dismissal of the lawsuit. SimpleTech has taken a royalty-bearing license under Lexar's patents for its past and future sales of Memory Stick products.

All other terms of the settlement were confidential, Lexar Media said.
