U.S. Attorney's Dismissal Reviewed Amid Gay Rumors

Law360, New York (April 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The inspector general of the U.S. Department of Justice is reportedly investigating whether an assistant U.S. attorney was pushed out the door amid rumors that she is a lesbian.

Inspector General Glenn Fine confirmed on Monday that he and the Office of Professional Responsibility are investigating whether DOJ attorney Leslie Hagen “was discriminated against in employment decisions on the basis of alleged sexual orientation or other improper factors,” according to a letter to concerned lawmakers and obtained by National Public Radio.
