Ex-Manuli Exec Admits Role In Marine Hose Cartel

Law360, New York (April 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former executive of Manuli Rubber Industries SpA has become the latest to plead guilty and serve jail time for his role in the worldwide conspiracy to rig bids, fix prices and allocate market shares of marine hose in the U.S.

The U.S. Department of Justice said Thursday that Charles J. Gillespie, once the regional manager for Manuli Rubber's U.S. operations in Florida, has pled guilty to a one-count felony charge of participating in the conspiracy.
