Gauntlet Thrown In Voice Recognition Patent Dispute

Law360 (February 17, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- A patent battle that has been brewing over voice recognition technology has finally boiled over, with a Delaware communications company firing the opening salvo last week.

Nuance Communications Inc. slapped rival Tellme Networks Inc. with a patent infringement lawsuit on Friday, accusing the company of violating two of Nuance’s patents related to directory assistance and call center technologies.
