Scrushy Bids To Toss SEC Fraud Suit

Law360, New York (February 22, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- In the latest swipe in the battle between former HealthSouth Corp. chief executive Richard Scrushy and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, attorneys for the fallen executive have asked a federal judge to dismiss the SEC’s six-count lawsuit, saying the agency has failed to support its claims that he had inside knowledge of the company’s massive accounting fraud scheme.
