Sharper Image To Pursue Potential Buyers

Law360, New York (April 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Bankrupt specialty retailer Sharper Image Corp. has announced it will sell its business and solicit bids from interested buyers, with hopes of wrapping up the sale by the end of next month.

The announcement comes two weeks after its board chairman stepped down from his post to join other investors in a possible buyout.

The company said any sale would require the blessing of the Delaware bankruptcy court. It plans to seek the court's approval before May 31.
