Miracle-Gro Recalls Unregistered Pesticides

Law360, New York (April 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has ordered Scotts Miracle-Gro Co. to pull two weed-killing products from the shelves, calling the pesticides “illegal, unregistered and misbranded.”

The EPA issued the recall on Wednesday. It ordered companies or stores to immediately stop selling Miracle-Gro’s Shake 'n Feed all-purpose plant food with weed preventer.

The regulator also issued a recall of a commercial fertilizer product called Scotts Lawn Service Fertilizer with .28% Halts, but the company said its Halts products sold in bags at retail locations would not be...
