Judge Tosses Suit Against Smithsonian Exec

Law360, New York (April 25, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has thrown out a lawsuit filed by a former janitor who was allegedly injured during a physical confrontation with a Smithsonian Institution executive.

Judge Rosemary M. Collyer of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia dismissed the suit Wednesday after determining that former custodian Mary T. Majano exaggerated her injuries and that the museum’s Business Ventures Vice President Jeanny Kim was shielded from the torts suit as a federal employee.
